CLASSES and SEMINARS

At Southern Tier Tactical we are committed to providing the highest quality firearms training and safety practices that promote responsible gun ownership. We teach the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to carry a pistol. We limit our classes to 16 students to keep a high instructor to student ratio. Our 18-hour course meets the NY State requirements to qualify for a concealed carry pistol permit in Steuben, Chemung, Yates, Wayne, and Monroe counties. Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive NY State Completion Certificate and NRA Basic Pistol Certificate that can be used for non-resident pistol permits in Florida and Utah.

Hunter Education Classes
  

The Hunter Education Program is administered by the NYS DEC Sportsmen's Education Unit.  The instructors are volunteers.  They are required to find places to hold the classes.

The Pine City Sportsmen's Club allows the volunteer instructors to hold classes at the club.  There is no fee for the class.

PUGH Self-Protection & Combatives often holds classes at the Pine City Sportsmen's Club.

 Pugh Self-Protection & Combatives, are dedicated to making  people safer through superior training against a variety of intentional,  man-made acts of violence.  It was started by Zachary Pugh in 2015  after he realized there is no training company that is able to offer the  same style & types of training that he can, based on his training  and experiences.  Zachary has been studying self-protection since 2002  and is also a firearms expert and New York State Certified Firearms  Instructor.  He has been a full time police officer since 2011.  All of  the instructors and role players at Pugh Self-Protection &  Combatives have vast knowledge and training specific to their roles.   Regardless of the training topic or course, all participants will have a  unique experience that is educational & fun, wanting them to learn  more!
